Grant Berge's Photos of the Rutherford Cabins on Neil's Island, September, 2013

The first cabin was built around 1948. It started off as a cabin tent, then gained a wooden floor but still with a canvas roof. Later it was given a wood-framed roof and used only for sleeping. The second cabin, built about two years later, had a small wood stove, a kitchen counter, and a pull-out bed. Both cabins, built by Neil Rutherford, have for many years been the property of the Keith Olson family. Now over 60 years old, they have been well taken care of.
